Expansion: Unfurling Your Consciousness

Depending on the dynamics and capacity of the mind, meditation may not be the most beneficial practice. Many people have expanded dimensional minds where unfurling the mind, freeing it from the confines of the mental structure relieves inner tension and promotes internal wellbeing and peace. 


Incorporating Expansion into your daily routine allows the mind, when necessary, to focus easier and for longer periods of time. This seems opposite of what we have been taught with some of the different modalities of meditation and thought control. The practice of expansion is a deeper experience of heart awareness where the mind relinquishes its tight hold of awareness on the reality, and frees the awareness to float outward to its true capacity. 


The following information is a framework to get started with Expansion and unfurling your consciousness. It is not intended as a rigid ritual or step by step practice. As you explore the subjective dynamics of your mind and awareness, the idea and sensory experience of Expansion will unfold for you in your own way and you will come to a new knowing of your Self and your heart. Explore and discover. 


Here’s how to get started…   


Bring your awareness into the stillness of your Sense of Self. 


Similar to the way you “sense” things around you in the world, you may also sense internally;  within the inner world of your mind. 


Sitting in Stillness is the experience of the present moment. In the present moment all is neutral. 


It is within the present moment of stillness your awareness has a “sense” of your Self in its truth.

All is quiet and tranquil. 


Relax your mind deeper and deeper into the stillness of the moment. 


As your mind relaxes, sense your awareness open up from deep within you. Allow your awareness to gently float naturally outward in all directions. 


Give your mind permission to loosen its hold on your awareness and your reality around you. 


Sense your mind relaxing even more, sinking deeper into the stillness of the moment and your awareness gently floating outward, becoming thinner and thinner, lighter and lighter as it gently disperses farther and farther in all directions.  


The lightness of your being within the moment is your Sense of Self in its purity and truth, untethered from the structure of your mind, unfurled from all thoughts and emotions.    


Sense how your body feels as though it is floating, light in essence, spatially open, airy and suspended and weightless.


Feel your awareness float farther and farther, gently getting comfortable, and coming to rest in its true capacity; untethered, still, spacious and calm. Sink deeper into the truth of your capacity and its vastness, allowing it to expand even further and further beyond all knowing of your Self. 


Sense the true lightness of your being. Rest here as long as you would like.  


When ready, bring your awareness back to the stillness of the moment… the neutrality and grace of your purely innocent nature, vulnerable, awake, and alive.
